Lower your forks. If they hit your handlebars, get a set of Rox handlebar risers that raises and brings them back to raise your fork tubes. You can match your rear end lowering using a set of lowering links. These are made that can lower your back by as much as 4″. Lower front and back equally. If you aren’t hitting very bumpy dirt sections, and it sounds like your not, you would be much safer with more of a street bike setup. Which means lower! You can Google Rox risers, and lowering links. Both are around $120 each. More or less. You would be much happier and safer.
Take that other guys tip and get rid of conscience items.
Also until you get the bike learn when you come to a stop try to slide your butt to the side to get one foot lower. Use that foot to carry the load. To the left is best, that way you can still shift.
How much are tires there? That bad? This is the first I’ve heard of that. I’m planning on heading south next winter.
